The Task:
The Anglesea Golf Club was seeking to develop a section of their site with a number of short-term stay accommodation units. Through working with the architects from MLD Studio and the planners and economic and tourism specialists at the Surf Coast Shire, an agreement was reached to lodge an application for group accommodation.
The Outcome:
Many different consultants had to be engaged due to the complexities of the application, including bushfire consultants, ecological consultants, economic and tourism strategists and traffic engineers. Through a collaborative approach, the design including 12 accommodation units, a new road, and landscape treatment was finalised, and the planning application was submitted to Council.
