The client sought to develop a Childcare Centre on site and proposed to demolish the existing building so as to accommodate a double storey building for the Childcare Centre.

The proposal was considered appropriate in both its concept and design and was consistent with the broader State and Local Planning Policy Frameworks of the Greater Shepparton Planning Scheme, so much that the council was able to issue a planning permit for it. The childcare centre would provide education and care programs which are created around the developmental needs, interests and experience of each child. The proposal supports the creation of a healthy and sustainable neighbourhood, by providing an essential service within the local community it supports. The proposed use is considered compatible with the residential useand generally supports local community needs.
